Anthony Canning

Anthony is the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) & Head of Technology Services at AUCyber.

Anthony is responsible for the management of AUCyber’s internal platforms, IT Service Management practices and Information Security Operations and Certifications. As CISO and Head of Technology Services, he plays a critical role in ensuring the resilience and integrity of AUCyber’s infrastructure and services.

Prior to joining AUCyber, Anthony served as Director of Cyber Supply Chain Risk at the Australian Taxation Office. He has also provided strategic cyber security advice to both enterprise and SMB clients, with a strong focus on practical, cost-effective solutions. Anthony brings a deep understanding of the common challenges organisations face and is adept at identifying efficient, scalable approaches to managing cyber risk.

With a background in education as a senior physics and specialist mathematics teacher, Anthony translate complex technical challenges into clear, actionable guidance. His blend of technical leadership and educational acumen makes him a trusted advisor for organisations seeking to mature their cyber security posture and deliver on their strategic roadmaps.
